So here we are, another year of Backpack Buddies has come and gone and what a huge success we had this year! For those of you who don’t know, this campaign was started by Melanie Pelletier who is the Operations Manager here at Brady Storage. The goal of this campaign is to collect backpacks, lunch bags and school supplies for children to help provide them with the tools to start the school year off on the right foot. This year, we went all out. We had Logan Stutz (coach from the Sudbury five), and a few boys from the Sudbury Wolves team as well as a local fire truck for the kids to check out and take pictures with. We also had the BBQ going like crazy! It was a great time and we are already gearing up for next year. Already, people are providing us with donations in order to be able to achieve a higher number of backpacks in order to help so many more children! We continue to accept these donations throughout the year. So, if you are interested, any donation can be made and/or dropped off at 20 Brady Street.
